The Family Programs Division addresses the needs of residents - both youth and adults - living in five family developments.
ADULT PROGRAMS: Resident adults are offered opportunities for lifelong learning and the acquisition of skills necessary to improve income and attain self sufficiency. Programs include a Family Self Sufficiency Program (FSS), Adult Basic Education (ABE) and English as a Second Language (ESL) instruction, Basic Computer instruction, Life Skills Training, Financial Literacy, and Homeownership services. Division staff develops and maintains positive relationships in the local, state and national adult education and training communities that benefit our residents while improving connections between adult learners and family support services through case management.
YOUTH PROGRAMS: Resident youth may participate in a variety of after school and summer programs that promote educational achievement, personal development and healthy lifestyle choices. Programs are conducted on-site at three PHA-owned and operated community centers.
HIGH RISE PROGRAMS DIVISION
The Highrise Programs Division ensures the well being of elderly and disabled residents living in six highrise developments through delivery of appropriate supportive and case management services.
