ADULT EDUCATION

The PHA offers the following Adult Education Programs at its main Resident Services Department facility – the Thomas J. Anton Community Center – located in the Hartford Park family development at 50 Laurel Hill Avenue. For more information or to enroll in a class call (401) 709-6422.

  • Adult Basic Education (ABE)
  • GED Preparation (English & Spanish)
  • English as a Second Language (ESL)
  • Digital Literacy
  • Employment Skills Training (EST)

The following additional Adult Education Programs are offered at the PHA’s Education & Training Center  (ETC) located in its Codding Court family development at 144 Dodge Street. For information about current or upcoming trainings call 401-709-6420 or 401-709-6422 and check out our current and upcoming job training promotional materials.

  • ESL (evenings only)
  • National External Diploma Program (NEDP)
  • GED

JOB TRAINING

The PHA partners with local service providers to provide a variety of job training opportunities throughout the year. Trainings are held at the PHA’s Education & Training Center located at 144 Dodge Street in its Codding Court family development. For information on current or upcoming trainings call  401-709-6420 or 401-709-6422 The PHA’s Education & Training Center (ETC) is located in the Codding Court family development at 144 Dodge Street. The ETC serves as the hub for job training programs provided by our service partners. Past training programs have included the Sherwin Williams “Home to Work” Painters Training and a variety of trainings around Environmental Jobs provided by Groundwork RI.
